Cara Brewer Thompson lives in Central New York and has been an educator for over thirty years, spending the past twenty-one years as a Professor of Graphic and  Interaction Design at the State University of New York at Oswego. Thompson’s work focuses on her passion for the natural world and the creatures that live there. Her style combines whimsy and stylization to create a sense of wonder and combines a myriad of styles and media (including hand drawn and digital image creation along with 3d modeling and animation techniques). Her print work includes media created in a number of ways, including coding with Processing to create raw images that she works into with digital media, digital painting , photography and whatever else the piece requires. And of course, she is a passionate drawer and feels that almost no day is complete without working on a drawing.  Her work has been shown regionally and nationally in the United States as well as abroad.
